Terms of Use

These Terms of Use apply to newbacklink.com, including its tools, the AI Citation Index and all other pages (together, the "site"). The site is operated as an independent project, referred to here as "we" or "us". By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The service#

The site provides free SEO and webmaster tools and publishes the AI Citation Index. No account is needed to use it.

We may add, change, limit or remove any tool or feature at any time. Because the service is free, we do not promise that any tool will remain available.

Results are automated estimates#

Tool results are produced automatically, from third-party data sources and from requests our server makes to the sites you check. They are estimates and can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, for example when a site blocks our requests or a data source is unavailable.

Check important results yourself before you rely on them. The disclaimer explains the limits of our scores in more detail.

No warranty#

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we make no warranty that the site or its results are accurate, complete, fit for a particular purpose, secure or free of errors, or that the site will be available without interruption.

Acceptable use#

You may use the site for lawful purposes. You must not:

• use any tool to attack, overload or disrupt a website, server or network;
• use any tool to scan, probe or test systems that you are not authorized to test;
• bypass or try to bypass rate limits, blocks or other access controls, for example by rotating IP addresses or running many sessions in parallel;
• automate use of the tools or scrape tool results, pages or AI Citation Index data in bulk;
• submit content that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or contains malware or code intended to cause harm;
• use the contact form, newsletter sign-up or tracking requests to send spam or to impersonate someone else;
• interfere with the security or normal operation of the site.

Blocking abusive traffic#

We may rate-limit, block or refuse requests from any IP address, network or user agent that we reasonably believe is abusive or breaks these terms. We may also decline to run checks against particular addresses or sites, including private network addresses. We do not have to give notice before doing so.

Third-party sites you check#

When you run a tool on a website, the result reflects that site's content and configuration. The owners of those sites are responsible for their own content. Showing information from a site in a tool result does not mean we endorse it, control it or have verified it. The NewBacklinkBot page explains how our server fetches pages.

Content and ownership#

The site's content, including its text, design, code, the AI Citation Index data and presentation, and the NewBacklink Domain Score, is protected by copyright and other laws. You may view it, link to it and quote short extracts with a link back to the source. Reproducing or republishing substantial parts of the site, including AI Citation Index data in bulk, requires our permission.

Tool results you generate are yours to use freely. You may copy them into reports, client work, articles and presentations. Some results include data from third-party sources, which remain subject to those sources' own terms.

What you submit#

You keep any rights you have in the URLs, text and messages you submit. You give us permission to process them as needed to run the tool you asked for, show and cache the result, and reply to you, as described in the privacy policy. Do not submit confidential information into tools that accept free text.

Links to other sites#

The site links to third-party websites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

Limitation of liability#

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, search rankings, goodwill or business, arising from your use of the site, your inability to use it, or your reliance on any result.

Because the site is provided free of charge, we do not accept liability for losses caused by relying on it, except where applicable law does not allow that liability to be excluded or limited.

Disputes#

These terms are governed by the applicable law of the operator's place of business, and any dispute about them or about the site will be handled under that law. This does not remove any protection you have under mandatory consumer law where you live. If you have a problem, please contact us first so that we can try to resolve it.

Changes to these terms#

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated. If you keep using the site after a change, the updated terms apply.
